Matthew D Crosby Photographics
Photographer based in Northamptonshire, specialising in event, portrait, editorial and the occasional wedding.
Photography and I had an on off relationship for many years, receiving my first qualification in the subject some 25 or so years ago. In those interim years I went through countless rolls of 35mm film, spent too much on Cokin filters to get the perfect sunset shot, then moved to various small hand held digital devices.  I treated myself to a "proper" DSLR (Nikon D7100) about 5 years ago, and haven't looked back since.

I have a background in information technology and graphic design, this combined with the digital age in which we live, I find that these skills perfectly compliment each other.  I like a combination of photo styles, some with minimal digital manipulation, others with a more creative hand applied to them.
I like to get out and about with my photography in all seasons and all weathers, I prefer to capture the moment when it happens without too much fuss and setting up, preferably with natural light, but I can adapt to most situations.   We are blessed with some of the finest countryside and woodlands around us here for photo locations, with the family we try and get out exploring these.

As you can see from some of the photos above I also take part in that rather strange hobby of hitting my friends with lumps of metal whilst wearing funny clothes.  This takes us around to some of England's finest castles and sites of historic interest, and builds up my knowledge of places to use for location work.

Thank you to my family and friends for taking the photos on this page (with the exception of the family selfie) none of these are by me.
